• F/T Counter Sales Representative - Pefferlaw, ON

    We are hiring for an experienced Counter Sales Representative to join our team in Pefferlaw! The successful candidate will report directly to the Branch Manager and acts as the front line, providing superior service to our customers in person, and on the phone.

    Major Areas of Responsibilities

    • Serves customers by providing product information in person at the counter, as well as by email and phone
    • Create quotes and enter sales orders through ERP system (Syspro)
    • Provides support to Branch Sales Rep
    • Process customer returns
    • Process electronic and cash payment transactions
    • Prepare and reconcile day end deposits
    • Maintain showroom and general housekeeping
    • Responsible for opening/closing of showroom
    • Assist with annual inventory and periodic cycle counting
    • Assist with warehouse duties when needed
    • Create purchase orders and supply chain transfers for sales orders
    • Receive purchase orders and supply chain transfers into inventory
    • Continue ongoing development of product knowledge of BMI products and allied products

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP Software)
    • Superior communication skills utilizing tact and diplomacy at all times
    • Mathematically inclined
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Highly flexible – able to adjust quickly in a varied environment
    • Able to work both independently and as a team player
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Energetic, motivated to continue to increase product knowledge including installation techniques
    • Confident in making sound decisions
    • Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management
    • Thrives working in a very fast-paced environment

    Education/Certification/Experience

    • Possesses some industry knowledge in exterior building products
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word

    Hours of Work

    • 40 – 42.5 hours /week; December – April (Branch Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm)
    • 47.5 hours / week April – December (Branch Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm)
    • Overtime as required.

    Pay: CA$19.00 - CA$21.00 per hour
